DOG ยท CARE CIRCLE LESSON
Slower After Rest
Separate stiffness from weakness and record the first steps that matter.

Watch the transition
Record the pause before standing, whether the back legs slip, how many steps look stiff, and whether movement becomes easier after one minute.
Change the test, not the dog
Film one ordinary rise from a familiar bed. Do not repeatedly ask your dog to stand, climb stairs, or jump just to capture a symptom.
Call sooner when
Contact a veterinarian promptly for sudden inability to stand, dragging a limb, crying out, collapse, severe swelling, or a rapid decline after an injury.
