Changes in Appetite
Record amount, timing, weight, nausea clues, and interest in favorite foods.
Measure what changed
Record what was offered, what was eaten, meal duration, treats, water, vomiting, stool, medications, and weight. 'Eating less' becomes useful when the amount and timing are clear.
Notice how eating looks
Dropping food, chewing on one side, approaching then walking away, lip licking, swallowing repeatedly, or wanting soft food can point the conversation toward dental pain or nausea.
Call sooner when
A cat that stops eating, a pet with repeated vomiting, abdominal swelling, marked lethargy, blood, pain, dehydration, or known diabetes needs prompt veterinary advice.
